  • Hamas Wins Big

Bascially, Fatah is so corrupt, and Hamas' charity work so popular, that Hamas is poised to win big in the upcoming parlimentary elections, if the results of the local elections are anything to go by.

What Isreal will do if Palestine is taken over by a terrorist group, I dunno. I don't think I could blame them for reoccupying Palestine.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

How little you believe in freedom.

There were moderately higher hopes that Arafat's death (due to AIDS supposedly from sleeping with hookers) would bring in a half way decent leader. Abu Mazen looked like that halfway decent leader but he's underwelmed in every area. He hasn't really cracked down on the terrorists or the corruption since he's to weak and uncharismatic to successfully go after either.

Many people did see Arafat dying as a major improvement though. Hard to say it wasn't.

I'd like to see them try.

Anyway, it's their own fault. They basically encouraged Hamas to start out with.

Maybe Hamas will have a more reasonable stance once in power. Especially if the Israelis don't immediately attack Palestine.

It wouldn't be a first: the Fatah was a terror group before becoming more reasonable, and several Islamist parties across the Muslim world became more reasonable once elected in power.

Compared to Hamas. How about compared to the civilized world?
