I could probably see lots of stars if I wanted to. Just go down to the Hard Rock casino. But I have no interest in celebrities. We even have a page in our newspaper chronicling celebrity sightings.

They bought a "holiday home" in Canmore and frequent the city...

Brad Pitt has reportedly bought a remote cabin in Canada - to escape the paparazzi.

The Hollywood heavyweight has splashed out on the secluded holiday home to spend time with lover Angelina Jolie, and her two adopted children Maddox and Zahara, without shutterbugs constantly trying to photograph them.

Brad - whose divorce from ex-wife Jennifer Aniston was finalised earlier this month - has also reportedly instructed his security to take pictures of any snappers who follow him and Jolie, according to America's New York Post newspaper.
Sources claim he will keep the photographs as evidence in case he decides to press harassment charges in the future. Meanwhile, Brad and Angelina are said to be throwing their first official party as a couple next weekend - sparking rumours the pair intend to wed

The couple have invited a number of close friends and family to a "family blessing" at Brad's Malibu home to celebrate their new lives as a family in the US, now the actress has quit Britain.

Brad, 41, is even building a Buddhist-style temple in his garden for the special occasion and speculation is rife the pair plan to tie the knot in a "quickie" wedding the same weekend.

A source is quoted by Britain's The Sun newspaper as saying: "Things are serious. A quickie wedding isn't out of the question"

After a quick search, I found one reference in a commercial resort and real estate web page stating "word has it" Pitt had purchased a home in Canmore.

Do you have anything more definitive?

Well, considering that the police and park rangers were called to their home because a bear got into their kitchen...yes.

Brad Pitt, lover Angelina Jolie and her two adopted children narrowly escaped a vicious bear attack when the beasts broke into the actor's new Canadian holiday home.

The couple came face-to-face with two huge grizzlies after they found their way into Brad's kitchen and began rummaging for food.

The heartthrob actor returned to his home, near Calgary, accompanied by Angelina and her two children Maddox and Zahara to be confronted by the massive animals.
The quick-thinking star ushered the children and Angelina out of the house before telephoning police to report the marauding animals.

A source told America's National Enquirer magazine: "Brad was convinced he had surprised burglars but suddenly came upon these two bears.

"He wisely phoned cops who called in park rangers to shoo off the animals. It seems the animals had been attracted by food smells wafting from a kitchen window Brad had left ajar"

Park rangers rushed to the property and scared the bears away before warning the couple to make sure they keep all doors and windows locked when they leave the house to avoid attracting hungry animals.

Back to the original question . . . I never cared at all about celebrities. If I saw Brad Pitt I would just keep on walking .. . I have no reason to think that he would be any more interesting than any other random person I could speak with and I know for certain that he gets hounded and would probably appreciate being left alone

If its a female celebrity I would stare only so long as would be warranted for any woman of her level of hotness

You honestly don't believe that Pitt bought a holiday home just west of Calgary?

I've given you sources on it, if you don't believe them I don't care. I don't see why it's unbelievable, Canmore is a beautiful quiet town perfect for a high-profile couple like Pitt and Jolie to escape the torment of people like you.

I see you've edited out the references to the Calgary Herald and Sun newspapers. No matter, I'm too quick for you. I searched the Calgary Sun and found this reference:

                            • Pitt has long been a favourite star of Calgarians since he filmed Legends of the Fall near Canmore 12 years ago. Ever since, rumours have flown Pitt owns property here or in Bragg Creek, something the actor has always denied.

It was in the Herald for sure, but the Herald does not keep its articles online without subscription.

Your reference is important, "ever since" Legends of the Fall 12 years ago he denied it. That's not saying he doesn't own a home there now.

The denials were before he started shooting his recent movie here: http://jam.canoe.ca/Movies/Artists/P...01/760864.html

Shortly after Pitt filmed Legends of the Fall in the Calgary area, people began speculating he had purchased land in southern Alberta.

These stories have led to numerous and persistent Pitt and Jennifer Aniston sightings in Canmore and Bragg Creek.

"As magnificent as Alberta is, I don't have land there -- just as I don't have property in Ireland, Washington, Belgium or Argentina. If all these stories were true I'd be quite a land baron," says Pitt.
This was many months before the movie started shooting, and after he allegedly bought a holiday home in Canmore.
