Doesn't change the fact that Calgary is flat ugly prairie city. I was there on business last November. Man, talk about bleak flying in.

You think Fairfax is a big city? You think Richmond, Norfolk or Virginia Beach are big cities? Virginia is not known for its cities. Its actually known for not having any.

The airport is in the NE, which is flat. Which is why the airport is there. Come to the NW.

Yeah, thats Washington. Washington isn't Virginia. Its like saying New York city is in Connecticut.

And everywhere in the picture is part of the DC metropolitan area.

NoVA isn't a bunch of small towns or whatever, it's a single mass of suburban sprawl.

Hey Kuci, i've only been in D.C. propper and north of it, where it all seemed slummy. Is the Virginia side of it any prettier?

Thats a statistical census region, not a logical fact like, for example, the fact that Washington DC is not in the State of Virginia. Thats the whole point, hence the "DC".

                            Virginia has no big cities.

And don't get me wrong, I love Virginia. Its just a fact that it has no big cities.

The US, however, does. Now, if you want to argue that Virginia is equal to Canada for the purposes of comparison, I won't dispute that.

And it's more than just a "statistical census region"; the entire region is completely focused on DC.
