I think it's important what the Iranian president implicates. It's not that 'we think Europe should take Israelis and give them good lands and we can all be loving people'. It's rather 'Israel has no place on our map, they are not an entity here'. Because that is what it means.

Hey, I have no problem relocating Israel in Europe if they so wanted. Sure, there's plenty room, let's get them here. But that's not the point, they have their country now, it's where it is, period, and Iran is not offering peace here, on the contrary.

No.. we must stay firm and alert and if the opportunity should arise, shut him up.

We don't need that. We have excellent beer. When everyone's drunk nobody remembers what people said, so even without free speech people get away with everything.

But unfortunately that Iran pres isn't allowed to drink beer because of his own religion, so he'll end up in jail, diplo immunity or not.

Can you say "Kill the government!" publicly in Finland? In the USA?

Even Hobbes knew that freedom only works when it is limited to an extent that it is secured for all. Hence, any democracy without limits to its freedom is just anarchy.

I can say nazi things and anti-democracy things.

                    Thus Finland > Germany.

Of course the gov't wouldn't protect you as you got your ass beaten by miscellaneous supercitizenry.
I came upon a barroom full of bad Salon pictures in which men with hats on the backs of their heads were wolfing food from a counter. It was the institution of the "free lunch" I had struck. You paid for a drink and got as much as you wanted to eat. For something less than a rupee a day a man can feed himself sumptuously in San Francisco, even though he be a bankrupt. Remember this if ever you are stranded in these parts. ~ Rudyard Kipling, 1891

I think alcohol and sexual freedoms would be a better solution and they would have probably a deeper impact there

I missed a decent fireworks show back in November. I demand carnage!

True freedom of speech does not exist anywhere I don't think.

Germany just has more limits than other countries. Which is understandable due to their history.

In general I don't agree with restricting hate speech, but I can understand why Germany has done so. I don't blame them for it.
