Nope...

Grossman has better skills as a QB. Hands down. He can throw a better, more accurate deep ball. He is also more mobile.

Orton's skillset lies in his ability to manage the game and make smart reads. But he is not going to throw bullets and march the offense down the field. He will never develop into that kind of passer. He just doesn't have the arm for that.

I think Orton has more potential than Grossman. He's got a good arm, and he's proven to be pretty smart, even if he's not experienced enough to make the right call EVERY time, he's not made the rookie mistakes that you often see nearly as often as most. He's done a very good job protecting the ball outside of Cincinnati, and made some impressive plays, even if most of his plays haven't been.

That said, i'm glad he'll get a chance to spend some time learning slowly, rather than just learning on the fly. Carson Palmer did a great job that way, originally getting thrown in, and then getting some time off after playing poorly, to learn ... and coming back quite amazingly.

I think that's the right call. As long as the ball doesn't hit the ground on the way down, which was my concern, it's a pick; the player didn't officially catch the ball, and therefore the ball is still 'live' regardless of contact.

Mora is so going to get himself thrown out ...

This game is hilarious, and I really would love to see Mora thrown out. Football is the only sport where you can whine this much without being tossed ... in basketball he'd have been T'ed up twice by now, and in baseball they don't even give you the one warning necessarily ...
