  • Moving Israel to Europe

hey it's not my nutjob idea. But I am no stranger to posting nutjob ideas.

So this is from Iran's president. He says he would accept an Israel community in Europe. Your thoughts?

Although at this point it's all academic. I don't think Israel would want to be moved. . They are a sovereign nation. But just for the sake of discussion, would moving Israel to Germany solve the terrorist problems in the middle east (yes I know new terrorist problems would be created in germany). Would that make the palestinians and other middle easterners happy?

Some Israelis claim divine right to the holy land. Would be funny to see them claim divine right to parts of Germany.

New translation of the Bible reveals that "Mount Sinai" actually was "Kurfürstendamm".
      What?

Well this does raise an interesting point? Why was the decision made to carve the state in an area where other people were already living and had lived for quite sometime? However the idea of moving it now is quite stupid.

I would expect it was something to do with ancient history.

            What DD said.

Personally, I might have given them New Jersey...

Because the people who gave the land didn't give a flying **** about the people living there at the time. Surely you know this...

Actually I'm just curious why Uganda wasn't accepted when offered.

                    What about the Ugandans?

Because it's not the HOLY LAND of course. I love religion, really I do.

IIRC, the parts offered were sparsely populated at the time.

The Holy Land would still be there. They could visit it anytime they liked just like we christians.

Christmas time must be painful for you. You might like how the Japanese celebrate it though.

The British were being a bit two-faced on the issue after WW1, and after WW2 the 'moral guilt' of all exceeded any concerns for the rather backward smelly-cheating-arabs.

Actually, it makes perfect sense. Why would people want to move to a place they have no cultural connection to, and build a homeland there?

And there's nothing two-faced about this, if you consider the fact that the population of this place was around 200k or something in the beginning of the century ( Now - >10 million)

Only b/c it means I have to figure out gifts for people (myself included). Other than that, it's nice. We go and see family, most of which I like, and we eat good food and drink some wine.
