But to be serious for a while, I don't think this is a problem. I found the article surprising, yes, but it's only one article and even if it's completely true, I think they should revise those books again but it's not like I care enough to not know better.
The fact is, Swedish minorities in here are not often thought as minority. Others like Russians, Estonians and everyone else are thought as minorities but Swedes are not. I don't know why, I guess we think they are more part of our nation than the rest, in a way that we don't consider them minority in that traditional sense. Same goes for Finns in Sweden.
The model of thinking that was .. "lowering" was in the past though.. but then again our nation was kind of backwards and they had the REAL Kingdoms and stuff.. so that wouldn't be out of the norm considering the days.
There are always rivalries and sometimes they are even heated but it's never bad blood, I've never seen anyone actually being seriously anti-sweden/finland like a true racist and hater. Not once.In da butt.

Well, let me try and clarify. This is how I think it is:
In the English speaking world Scandinavia = the countries on that map plus the "colonies" Oerdsin mentioned.
However, people from those countries call that "the Nordic countries", while Scandinavia is just DK, NO and SE.
So you're both rightCSPA

My understanding of Scandinavia is that it's countries in contact with the mountain chain The Scands or whatever you say in english. It's candy. Surely there are more important things the NAACP could be boycotting. If the candy were shaped like a burning cross or a black man made of regular chocolate being dragged behind a truck made of white chocolate I could understand the outrage and would share it. - Drosedars

Scandinavia = Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
The Nordic countries = Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland and the archipelagos belonging to those countries (Färöarna & Åland). So get your Naomi Klein books and move it or I'll seriously bash your faces in! - Supercitizen to stupid students

Oh, and I sent the Finnish dance lesson video to my boss. He forwarded it to his boss (a Finn). I guess it's only a question of time before everyone of the 45000 employees in my company (partly owned by the Finnish State) have seen it.So get your Naomi Klein books and move it or I'll seriously bash your faces in! - Supercitizen to stupid students

Btw, Beutrageno has the excuse of getting smaller during excercise.
