                Clearly, Leonardo da Vinci is the greatest genius ever. Actually, he is the only person I know of that fits my definition of "genius"

                        Aristotle was important but pales in comparison to other people mentioned in this thread.

                        We're not talking about most important to your pansy field, but the smartest. Someone who is wrong half the time isn't a genius, he's a perfect example of the Philosopher's shotgun theory of intellectuality...with enough pellets one of them is bound to hit.

                            da Vinci is clearly the definition of genius -- he was even gay. I don't know how much more proof one needs.

                            Turing, also gay, is up there himself, but not the "greatest genius".
