I'm sick of paying out the ass for cars that just end up breaking down anyway. I had two cars crap out on me in 1 year, and both times I put a bunch of money into them for nothing.
The good thing is that I live in Fresno again, so I don't need to drive from out of town.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

Sort of indirectly linked to peak oil, but a salutory lesson nonetheless...

Fusion Power
You guys are asking the wrong question. It is not ever going to be a problem getting energy...it is going to be a problem of transmitting energy to mobile devices for high power applications for long periods of time.
New energy sources will be found. What we need is research into high capacity, long life batteries.
Combustion, as a means of extracting energy, will soon be a thing of the past. Just as internal combustion engines replaced steam engines, so will electric engines (or more properly...motors) replace internal combustion. The problem is going to be the local source of energy. Currently tou can't just pull up to a service station and recharge for 400 miles in 3 minutes or less...not to mention the fall off in performance as a battery nears discharge.
This is the real challange...not the discovery and implementation of new sources of energy."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. However, many are powered by the alternative fuel source of a nuclear reactor. For most applications, carrying around a small nuke plant just isn't feasible."I am sick and tired of people who say that if you debate and you disagree with this administration somehow you're not patriotic. I saw today that ANOTHER oilsands project is moving forward. The field has something like 11 BILLION barrells with about 3.2 billion estimated recoverable.
The oilsands in Alberta haven't even really gotten started yet. yes oil is a finite resource but we are a long long way from running outYou don't get to 300 losses without being a pretty exceptional goaltender.-- Ben Kenobi speaking of Roberto Luongo
