This thread will be specific to the Xbox 360, because the old one was getting closer to 500 and is kinda old anyway.
So:
Yes, I got mine. Yes, I think it is orgasmic.
It is slightly smaller than the original Xbox, slightly noiser too (when playing games). In the Dashboard and while watching DVDs (or streaming music, pictures, movies, whatever), it's extremely quiet. And no, it's not noticable over the volume of the game.
Here is a picture of how I have it set up. On the TV is "Gotham TV", a new feature of Xbox Live (in games that support it), commonly called Spectator Mode.
When you choose "Gotham TV" in PGR3, you are given two options: "Heroes Channel" and "Friends Channel". "Heroes Channel" lists the top ranked players currently playing, and Friends Channel lists your friends currently playing. You then select which ever game you want, and you're watching the race in real-time. The camera angles, the scrolling news feed at the bottom (which provides race details like lap times for all the players, new records set on other courses, etc), the captions, etc. all make it look like an authentic TV broadcast. I really love the "in-car" view, since all the cars have authentically modeled interiors too, and the camera shakes a bit since it's supposed to be mounted to the driver's helmet.
