They were showing some old Thanksgiving game clips on Fox just now, and they had some Detroit-Chicago game with Barry Sanders. He just smoked the Bears. Ahh.... those were the days. Oh Barry, where have you gone..

so anyways. you have these announcers who say they should spread out the passing game to open up the run game. When it's supposed to be the run game that opens up the pass game.

        which is it?

These announcers always talk like they know what they are talking about, but I seriously doubt it. Usually it comes down to matchups and the talent you have on offense. I've seen teams not run the ball and win, and I've seen teams not pass the ball and win. So I don't think there is any certain strategy that is guaranteed to win football games. It all depends on what talent you have and how you match up against your opponents defense. It's best to adjust your strategy with the ebb and flow of the game.

They also showed the kick off return in over time for a Bears victory over the Lions. That made number two on the all time list for Thanksgiving

Good to see Jason Witten having a good game - especially when it's at the expense of Terry Glenn...

Hopefully this win gets the team back on track.
