Doesn't constitute sexual intercourse though. Nor is it a penis. Sadly UK laws are still stuck behind the times. There have been cases where women have drugged men and then proceeded to have sex, and where the man has pressed for charges. AFAIK none have been successfully prosecuted.

Women are to blame for being raped

There is something called the "Just World" bias humans have in how they perceive the world. Psychologists have found people often tend to attribute undue blame to the victim in any given situation, or speculate that something the victim has done caused the act. Reason being, if the victim were completely blameless- then that means bad things happening to people are completely random, and that no matter what you do the next victim could be you. People don't like to think that they could be in the shoes of the victim."I'm moving to the Left" - Lancer

Where states have this law, this appleis most definitely to female victims, but as others have defined rape on penetration, this would not apply then to male victims -- it would fall under sexual assault.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Best post of the thread award goes to Drogue for his initial post. I concur completely.
The laws in some states in the U.S. which state that an inhebriated person cannot consent to sex seem to offer the greatest chance that a person who is raped in a legal sense may be partially to blame. Blackout and memory loss can (and have) put men in legal jeopardy where an objective viewing of the event would have probably convinced the prosecution not to prosecute at all. Of course a lot of scum purposefully use alchohol and drugs to render their victims incapable of excercizing good judgement. The tension between these extremes requires very careful judgement by the legal system. He's got the Midas touch.

Wow -- AFAIK, in many of our states, a drunk or drugged person is incapable of competently consenting to engage in sex, so therefore, the sober person can be charged with rape. I know you are referring to a drugged man in this instance, but does this mean that the law in UK also does not see sex with a drunk or drugged woman as rape??

Nope, that's one of the classifications of rape (see the quote above from UK statute). However it simply doesn't apply to women.
Yes, it would. Sexual assault (IIRC) doesn't carry a mandatory jail term and is far less severe than rape. Moreover, a women drugging a man and then having sex with him isn't necessarily an assault - the only difference between that and consensual sex is the consent, which is a lot less explicity in sexual assault law.A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

It's insulting to men that it should be a woman's fault for rape. It infers that we're all essentially animals, unable to reason or control our emotions, or to make conscious choices. Although the libido is a strong instinct, man has the ability to control it.
