I also liked G. I. Joe (hmmm... my memories says they was called Action Force back then?)
In Europe, it was and probably still is called that.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio
I had a baseball glove, a softball, a Schwinn bicycle, a Davy Crockett Coonskin hat, and a cap-gun Winchester rifle. I was also very partial to Kenner's construction sets, erector sets, Lincoln logs and plastic ship models.
Back when you could order them by mail my older brother had a real WW2 Mauser and a Lugar and a WW2 Soviet "Red Star" 30-06 rifle, not to mention a Civil War era Colt revolver which had been converted to take cartridge ammunition. Then that no-good commie Oswald shot JFK, after which the Feds put a lid on the mail-order gun industry.

Man did I love "Hot Wheels" and all the different cars to go crash.
Hey, look they are making tracks...cool. Setting up jumps, more crashes.
Then mum found out the tracks where better then belts for punishment.
Be very carefull of what you ask for
I loved hot wheels. I didn't have a lot of tracks. I just rolled them around the floor. Or I made complex terrain and hills out of a blanket. When you are poor, you tend to use your imagination more. .
Looking back I say I may have been spoiled wrt toys...in our playroom we had enough GI Joes, Playmobil, Transformers, LEGO and He-Man to wage full scale war. We also had a bunch of old fashioned tin soldiers in a sort of 'British Empire on parade' formation.
The largest was probably the Cobra Terrordrome, a gigantic mass of plastic with a retractable dome. Also laser tag, supersoakers, the usual balls and bats, trampoline, my horse.
Of course plastic weapons galore, of every age.
Curiously, one of the most fun games I remember was one me and my friends invented using ordinary playing cards where the cards were 'armies' with different 'hit points', abilities, etc (jokers were spies, Aces were strong, etc) and the battlefield was the entire house and deck.
I think I was inspired by the game Stratego.
Do a search for the Cobra Terrordrome if you want to know what it looked like.

it wasn't actually mine, but my brother's. But he let me play it when he wasn't on it. Otherwise I usually watched him play games on it. We were poor as I said. It took several months to afford one on a layaway program.
I also had a big army under my command, including a lot from Dinky toys: a german Tiger tank, a King Tiger, a twin barreled Leopard tank, howitzers, a german half-track with a rocket launcher on the side...

I had Star Wars figures and Gi Joe figures (a ton of them)
