actually I think American Marxists, and the political economists among them, have some quite serious things to say about the class structure of society - but analyzing how buildings fall down is NOT among their strong points

In fact I rather doubt that a SERIOUS American Marxist mag would publish something like this.

In case it was controlled demolition: who put those explosives there in the first place?

The government has explosives in all key buildings to blow them up when deemed necessary?

          or

Al Qaida bunkered the explosives weeks beforehand and just needed the TV effect?

There was a local FBI counter terror field office in one of the buildings. (which has been misidentified as a CIA office, IIUC) Obviously it was wired to blow to protect all the CIA secrets - since obviously neither the CIA nor the FBI can afford such items as paper shredders, etc.

The towers were wired to blow, cause, well, that would be cover for the blowing the "CIA" office. The airplanes were hijacked by the CIA (or the Mossad, if you prefer) to provide cover to the controlled demolition.

The clearly demonstrated ties from the hijackers to AQ are explained, well, by the fact that OBL is himself a CIA agent - after all, you do know that the CIA was funding the Afghan Mujahadeen against the USSR? And OBL was part of the mujahadeen? Which proves he was personally in CIA employ, and remained so even when the US abandoned Afghanistan? Right?

But it's your purpose to bash the French at every opportunity, so you might as well do it properly. You just look like the 4 year-old caught saying 'fvck' and being asked what it means.

Yes, I guess that would make sense if I hated the French.

Ecthy, interestingly enough, yet not related to this thread, most vital areas are usually prepared for quick demolition, either to destroy vital infrastucture for the enemy (like for example you want to make sure it's not just a joyride for the tanks to roll in) or the passage. Like the good old 'before we go, let's blow all the bridges and leave nothing for them'. But I bet my balls they don't have explosives READY in those places, waiting for the signal!

That's what they did to bridges 100 years ago. And in central Europe, not the US east coast.

I was thinking Solver would bring it up, but I'm glad it was brought up before page 2.
