I just got banned...by my professor

      But he might. You're missing the point of you might be getting yourself into a "world of more trouble than the inconvenience of being banned from a university forum by some asshat professor."

      The dean might also wish to have this as evidence if the university has to go further with this.

      This is about protecting yourself (and the university if you're so inclined) from this professor being a total ***hole trying to sue you or some ****.

        Will try, but I am anticipating he will be evasive.

        In the previous emails I've sent him, he's avoided the points and replied with terse, one-sentence emails ignoring the points.

        The most recent one was me expressing concern there wasn't enough time for the assignment being completed because the code release to form the base of the assignment was almost 2 weeks late in being released. The email was 3 paragraphs long, formally formatted...he replied with one sentence with spelling errors saying it would be posted soon.

            Meh, I doubt he'd do that and I don't care either way. If he tries to sue me for recording a conversation that took place in public on public property, I'll sue him for emotional distress. I'm sure both have equal chances of succeeding.
