I can't begin to tell you how much this means to a veteran.
It makes at all worthwhile.
Thank you, in return.
I'll be in a VFW ceremony tomorrow. Supposed to be media present.
Christmas parade is December 3rd. As always, VFW will be leading as color guard.
I know it's not likely, but anyone who happens to be in this area, I'd sure like to see you.
I had the pleasure of attending the parade in hawaii last year around that time slowwy, I cant tell any one how great that parade was. They had the vets of pearl harbor and vets of this war riding in classic cars and corvettes of every year they were made. The whole parade when i saw these guys brought tears to my eyes. With the crowd all around me yelling thank you and we love you to these vets..When you find yourself arguing with an idiot, you might want to rethink who the idiot really is.

With proud thanksgiving, a mother for her children,
England mourns for her dead across the sea.
Flesh of her flesh they were, spirit of her spirit,
Fallen in the cause of the free.
Solemn the drums thrill: Death august and royal
Sings sorrow up into immortal spheres.
There is music in the midst of desolation
And a glory that shines upon our tears.
They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted:
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
They mingle not with their laughing comrades again;
They sit no more at familiar tables of home;
They have no lot in our labour of the day-time;
They sleep beyond England's foam.
But where our desires are and our hopes profound
Felt as a well-spring that is hidden from sight,
To the innermost heart of their own land they are known
As the stars are known to the Night;
As the starts that shall be bright when we are dust,
Moving in marches upon the heavenly plain;
As the stars that are starry in the time of our darkness,
To the end, to the end they remain.
The Fallen

Thank you, everyone.

"Thanks" is too small a word for such great deeds.

Indeed Even today I remember that as a member of the Military you dont fight for the political views but rather the right to have them
You also fight for the plight of those who cannot stand up for themselves
You also fight to keep you and your buddies alive to post 26 years later
While away this past week at a Fall Workshop in Charlotte N C for the Carolina Ready Mix Concrete Association, we were as we are everyyear, recognized for our services rendered.
It is nice to be remembered for serving
