    You have no kids.

    Your opinion is useless. Period.

Like extreme poverty, a child is something you have to have in order to understand.

I, too, didn't understand this when I was your age, making the same sort of asinine, ignorant comments.

You'll grow up. After all, I did.

If theres a neighborhood boycott, I suspect hes being more of a jerk than parentless folks here realize.

      Corrected.

These folks are yuppies, if they wanted to sit home and cook meat loafs they wouldnt have moved to an urban neighborhood. Which is clearly what MR hippy resents.

I'm sorry JohnT but if you (in the general sense [I don't know how well Sophie behaves]) can't control your kids before inflicting poorly controlled spwan upon the rest of the world don't be shocked when people have negative reactions about it.

I have a problem with people who reproduce and then expect the rest of the world to bow down to her because of it. I'm sorry, she is NOT more special because she's had kids. She's only more annoying.

And no she didn't say she can keep them quiet most of the time and only once in a while the kids get loud, because that's NOT going to get you kicked out of the cafe. If your kid is yelling and carrying on, then you get asked to leave. Unless this woman is complaining at the sign and has never actually been told to leave.

Children who slam into display cases, climb the poles, and lay in the middle of the floor while their parents pretend not to notice as not being 'momentarily loud'.

Bull****. This is the same type of 'worship me, I have kids' crap that is resulting in such a backlash.

You are a man, therefore your opinion on abortion is useless. You are a woman, therefore you opinion on prostate cancer is useless. Agree with those sentiments?

I applaud the cafe owner's move. Sure, he'll lose some business, but that's his choice. Children do not belong everywhere. Private establishments are allowed to regulate noise levels and patronage.

No ****! For 24/7, they are. Glad you clued into that, Oerdin.

Look, I could sit here and rant at y'all for 500 posts, but there's no need. It's a waste of my time and effort and, if and when you have kids of your own, you'll understand. It's guaranteed.

As of right now, y'all have no meaningful experience or knowledge to debate LOTM or myself. If he wants to attempt the useless, more power to him. But for myself... I've got better things to do than try to teach you that which life itself will teach you in time.

                  Cya.

In a large part, except for the prostate cancer one as I wasn't aware of any controversy in regards to prostate cancer. But yes, a persons experience in an issue reflects how much I value ones opinion on it.

Abortion is a womens issue. Not being a female, my opinion will be incomplete at best, and ignorant at worst. If I can't argue from experience, then I won't present arguments that falsely claim I can.

What utter crap. Let's just let women make abortion law then.

If you're too ignorant to understand that women understand themselves better than a man, that's not really my problem, Imran.

I'd give any establishment business that follows such a code (that kids should use their inside voices when in the restaurant and not go hog wild).

She didnt ask anyone to bow down to her - just to understand the difficulty of parenting.

How the f**k do you know that - are you in Chicago? I can guarantee you there wouldnt be boycott talk going around if he was only tossing kids who bang into display cases. Ive known plenty of yuppie parents and while they aint perfect, they aint like that. Mr. Hippy says their all "ex- cheerleaders and beauty queens" how likely do you think that really is? How closely do you think Mr Hippy is connected to reality?

Why didnt the NYT reporter who put this in the national conversation actually go and ask if the mothers in question really were cheerleaders and beauty queens? Why there was boycott talk? Lazy reporter? People trolling based on the work of a lazy reporter.

And when you have kids who, despite everything you do/say/threaten/act, still act like little ****s, remember:

Everybody who doesn't have kids is saying "What a bad parent!"

                                The ignorant yaks.
