Who would do such a disgusting thing?
That's what people are wondering after someone handed out bags of feces to young trick or treaters.
"When you are talking about feces in amongst food that you are serving or giving to children it's fairly serious and not very funny," says Cst. Douglas Taylor of the Strathmore RCMP.
Police believe the feces was handed out in Strathaven, a north east suburb of Strathmore.
Three parents called police Monday night after discovering the feces in their children's trick or treat bags.
No child came into contact with the feces, but police say it could have been a public health issue because of the threat of disease.
People living in the small town are shocked and disappointed.
"That's disgusting," objects Strathmore resident Deborah, "No I can't believe that would happen in Strathmore!"
Resident Kathy Guttinger says, "I don't know what to say when something like that.
"I can't believe something like that in this day and age. We're a tight knit community everyone knows each other."
So far no arrests have been made.
