I haven't put much effort into it, can't really add much that's already been said.

He's a British politician that was summoned before the US Senate hearing to answer questions in his involvment in the UN Oil for Food Program. The hearings are basically a GOP-sponsored witchhunt.
The summons backfired though, because Galloway arrived to the Senate hearing and basically gave them a scathing lecture, especially Senator Coleman.
Reactionaries are pretty much humiliated by that performance and have been DESPARATLEY trying to get Galloway back since.
Galloway most likley isn't 100% clean (I've never disputed this), but there just isn't much evidence against him that will stick. I keep his avatar because it gets under the skin of the Reactionaries on this board, you know, the first 5 that posted in this thread.
Right now the main charges against him are from money his WIFE has supposedly accepted from Saddam's regime. We know the US Government picks and chooses UN findings as it wants to. There's a number of Resolutions passed against Israel but you don't see us supporting THOSE.
We ignored the UN recommendations about Iraq and Weapons of Mass Destruction but now suddenly their words are golden????

I think Galloway IS a scumbag, but I highly doubt that US politicians and businesspeople are innocent from digging in the Oil-For-Food jackpot.Comment
