I guess I better walk on eggshells in this thread now.

And I don't ignore the fact that Rumsfeld supported Saddam at one point. I also don't ignore the fact that Rumsfeld changed his mind and was one of the main proponents of ending Saddam's regime. I wouldn't find Galloway so disgusting if he had done the same.
Yes but why did he change his mind at some point?

He didn't change his mind when hundreds of thousands of people were being killed in the Iran-Irak war. He also didn't change his mind in '88 when he found out about the Halabja massacre. It's plain ridiculous Rumsfeld (and his fellow lackeys) refer to the fact that Saddam killed Iraqi citizens when he himself and others condoned it way back. Of course I'm not saying he really approved it (no sane person would do that), but he and the others didn't object to it much. The US continued to support Iraq.

That's the disgusting thing about the whole situation. They change their opinion on dictators and "evil-doers" like Bush is used to say, depending on their personal interests. They make it seem that they are concerned with justice, democracy and that whole **** while in fact they probably couldn't care less, as long as their own interests are secured and nobody opposes to America's reign too much and that the Middle-East region is stabilized, something they unfortunately can't get done right
