You do look much younger than I thought you were....

Did the subway art have security cameras on it?

I got my hair cut the day before we left. I always look like a little boy after that, and I guess to you old fogies I might be, but I know in that pic I look younger than 15.

As for black - only in soul, brother.

You know what, those little things running in a row over the art do look like some kind of security thing. They might have just been lights. I don't remember.

When I interned on the Hill, I always loved checking out the high school art. The kids who did those were amazing.

                        and last but not least

what pictures of Washington D C would be complete without seeing one of over a thousand politicians and civic leaders getting to know the plight of the people

oh this is Mayor Marion Berry and Rasheeda Moore from just a few short years ago at a hotel room up on Central Avenue, IIRC..apparently "The B!@tcH set him up"...

Seems as though there was a pipe some rock and some cameraman and FBI surveillance going on

Grandpa Troll it's ok...a couple of years ago the Camden City Attorney was caught smoking crack in his office...

The night before the Parade, our congresspeople hosted a reception for us in one of the office buildings. From left to right, are: A man representing Senator Mark Pryor (who IIRC was in some kind of weather delay), AR 4th dist. congressman Mike Ross, and Senator Blanche Lincoln. The hoeurs d'ouerves (has to be spelled wrong in some way) were great.

I wonder how many receptions in DC are jointly sponsored by Lockheed Martin and Wal-Mart. In case you guys didn't know, in addition to other support, Lockheed Martin gave $10,000 for the trip, which was the largest single donation, and about 1/7 of the entire cost.

The entire community supported us, which was really great. Businesses, schools, individuals all gave money, volunteer work, and support for the effort. A lot goes into taking ~150 people to DC for a week.

Sorry Mr Mitchell, I didnt mean to thread jack, I thought this was just pictures of a D C in general..I apologize..will remove if you so desire

I guess my initial reaction to this thread when I saw last night was what people envision D C to be, a little different to those whom live and work there sometimes..
