I don't know if this one has come up here before. If so, I apologize ahead of time for the repeat

Go to google and type the word "failure" (No quote marks). Then select the "I'm feeling lucky" option.

And I thought Search Engines weren't supposed to be biased.

Someone just sent it to me in an Email. I showed 2 other friends and none had seen it, nor had my computer savvy 17 yr old daughter.

      So I took a shot.

It's just failure now, and not miserable failure? Dang.

Hey, OzzyKP. If I ran for Congress and made Youth Rights part of my plank, would you endorse me?

Search and read about "google bombs" to have the reason behind this explained...

Or just click on the ad you get next to the search result when you search for "miserable failure", "failure" or "miserable".

Because of our tax status we don't endorse candidates. The IRS is really strict on that point.

Personally, hell yea I'd support you.

You could say something on our forums too, some of our members would probably support you too.

I can definitely recommend some good reading material to bone up on the subject. Plus I can put you in touch with some people who would be good to connect with (folks that not only would agree with the youth rights stuff, but the rest of your platform as well). For starters, check out this website:

Sven has written a hell of a lot of really good stuff, and a lot of outlines setting up a lot more good stuff to be written later. He comes at it from a different angle than I, probably one you'd be more comfortable with. Lately I've been writing responses to some of his ideas on my blog, and we have the start of a good intellectual battle.

So, read over his stuff, and then check out mine:

Both delve into the deeper issues at stake, no doubt more than you'd want to raise in a political campaign. If you wanted to tackle any discrete youth rights issues, such as the voting age, drinking age, or curfews, then the NYRA website has good research, stats, and arguments for those key issues, plus a general library with some good written material there. Check out the paper by Brian Dominick and Sara Zia Ebrahimi for starters:

I'm just mulling the idea right now. Still, a Libbie endorings a commie is just a funny thought.

hehe, it'd make great sig material to be sure.

Youth rights is my true passion. If the only way to that world is through socialism, then I'd probably cringe and go for it. (of course once that were done, I'd work my ass off fighting socialism). I'm not really a hardcore Libbie anyways and have stopped using that label for myself. Just call me independent. I'm certainly no friend to socialism, but I don't think its evil incarnate (just very, very misguided). My views are fairly mixed. I'm a bit more socially conservative (and religious) than most libertarians, and a bit more economically liberal (don't get your hopes up though) than most.

Youth rights is key though. That's my true priority.
