Good point. All the opposisition were saying "see, see I told you that Cheney was corrupt and steering business and would continue to help award them additional no-bid contract work so he could profit"
SO that means one of two things.
1. The didn't really believe it back then and were just trolling.
2. They were too stupid to hop on the bandwagon and make wads of cash by investing in them.
Since I'm sure none of them will admit to not really believing it back then, I'm betting on #2
