    The Celts introduced the Romans to proper beer making in proper barrels, chainmail, effective cavalry and soap.


    And underneath those Roman roads ? Celtic roads.


    The Celts also had an oral literature, theology, metalworking, a legal system, a Europe-wide economy, et cetera.

        This was one variety, but there were diffferent arrangments, including where one large oar would have multiple rowers.
