My point of course is, that once you get over yourselves, like I never do (with my huge ego), you'd realize that you're not the hot topic every day. SOmetimes, most of the times, what happened in football, or hockey, is bigger news. Sometimes if some famous local singer peed in public, it's bigger news. Get over it.

The world moves around ourselves, you and me. Sometimes your world touches mine, and vice versa. But if anyone thinks we live the same news, well that's just not true. IF everyone thinks, ohh they hate us.. shut up! You really think you are so important that everyone of us would care to hate you for some reason? Who do you think you are?!??!

As for connecting the dots.. Taliban went down, which is good yes.. Afghanistan is a mess, but altogether it was seen as justified action, and it had support, and basically it didn't amount into.. what Iraq has amounted into.

Now, as for 'it's not a bad trend', when talking about using it somehow else than for self defense... that's just insane. As for letting this thing go by, that the Prez says God talks to him, that's ****ing insane. But guess what, this is Europe's #1 news and it ain't going down with the Britney Spears news. This is NOT good PR. This is the worst you can get, and if you don't care, well that's fine, but this actually is something many of us in here do care, that the man who fights people who are fundamentalists is himself a) fundamentalist or b) a ****ing psycho. You do realize being religious, that the man who claims God talks to him is what bible says and teaches a maniac? YOu do know that, right? It's not good according to the religion. It's BAD.

Doesn't change the fact removing Saddam was a good thing, especially since we looked the other way when he was at his bloodiest because we needed a strong man next to the Iranians after the revolution.

I didn't say it was in self defense, I clearly explained it was not in self defense. But our military in this country has long been used for things other than defense so lets deal with reality.

He was talking to religious fundies, would you rather he tell them how great it is being an atheist? I'd think they'd take some comfort in a man on a mission from god until evidence of ungodliness was revealed.

Ok. So military is used for other things than self defense. You think this is a good thing? Acceptable? We can say, oh it's not good but it's what happens and realism for you. But let's not forget, if you use military force other than for self defense, or defense of others, well, I guess that's .. imperialism then. If you want to justify that, well it's not going to work. But I don't think you think that or want that, but that's my point, if it's not self defense, it's other interests, and we're talkinga bout war and killing people here, if you think there are other good reasons than self defense, I just think differently about that.
