This is of course cultural stereotyping but are you at all surprised? Seriously, those are well known cultural traits from muslim countries and everyone knows where women stand. She should have known better.

child of THor, this is where a use of the term neo-con is legitimate.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Oerdin, I would say it's a trait that has less to do with Islam and more to do with the nature of 3rd world societies. There are Muslim societies with free women, though this is changing because of the jihadis.

If this is the kind of thinking that the intilectual elite comes up with - you all should just drop out of uni now and go get real jobs in the real world

War crimes for all of them i say(in the usa and uk) - not just the 'innocent' front man who didn't know any better.
          I agree.

          The neo-con agenda is frightening.

I agree with their goal. Eradicating Islamic fundamentalism. I don't think you will find many people that will disagree with their goal.

The problem is, they are complete morons. Sure, many of the neo-con leaders are intellectuals. But they are not the type of people who really understand Islamic culture. Nor are they people who probably understand they way the world works. You cannot hope to just march into the Middle East with 150,000 troops and force a fundamental culture shift.

And the neo-cons have shown that they are very poor military strategists as well...
To us, it is the BEAST.

well i thought i'd mix it up a little. I often get accused of using it too often or wrongly(but i dont believe in shades of grey neo-coning, as thats their game plan), so i thought i'd do a neo-con on my use of the word neo-con for a change, just to make any neo-cons feel at home. have i said neo-con enough?

Bush used the terrorist's attack on the US to justify the invasion of Iraq. The terrorists use the invasion of Iraq to justify attacks on the US.

Trouble with Bush and Blair is that they are confusing explanations with justifications, is's with ought's. Iraq does "explain" this terrorism, and that's an indictment of Bush/Blair and extremist Muslims. Iraq does not "excuse" terrorism, but it's a red-herring for that to be used in response to the claim that Iraq has generated more terrrorism.

                            Here's one you'll all like

President George W. Bush told Palestinian ministers that God had told him to invade Afghanistan and Iraq - and create a Palestinian State, a new BBC series reveals.

In Elusive Peace: Israel and the Arabs, a major three-part series on BBC TWO (at 9.00pm on Monday 10, Monday 17 and Monday 24 October), Abu Mazen, Palestinian Prime Minister, and Nabil Shaath, his Foreign Minister, describe their first meeting with President Bush in June 2003.

Nabil Shaath says: "President Bush said to all of us: 'I'm driven with a mission from God. God would tell me, "George, go and fight those terrorists in Afghanistan." And I did, and then God would tell me, "George, go and end the tyranny in Iraq …" And I did. And now, again, I feel God's words coming to me, "Go get the Palestinians their state and get the Israelis their security, and get peace in the Middle East." And by God I'm gonna do it.'"

Abu Mazen was at the same meeting and recounts how President Bush told him: "I have a moral and religious obligation. So I will get you a Palestinian state."

Bush is a very, very dangerous religious fanatic, at par with bin Laden.
