I took a class in high school Man the Myth Maker. Father Grasso was the teacher. We would compare and contrast creation myths from many different belief systems and religions. The conclusion was the genesis story was just another myth among many myths and nothing more.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed. But they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love. They had 500 years of democracy and peace. And what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

Well, there are Protestants and Protestants

The EKD (Evangelische Kirche Deutschland [Evangelical Church of Germany]) which is a Union of nearly all protestant churches in germany [those who aren´t members of the EKD are called free churches (Freikirchen) here]
very long ago didn´t teach anymore, that the bible contains the literal truth (in contrast to the catholics here, who were taught a more traditional view of their religion ).

      So maybe you should say:
More reasons why catholics are better than many protestants (but not all)

Another myth is "protestants" have a different belief about the authority of the bible - again its only the fundamentalist fringe that claim the Bible is without error. There just happens to be a lot of those people in the USA - Baptists mainly, who have never been intellectually very strong, in fact they are anti-intellectual in matters of faith.

That is the Bible is infallible myth.

The Pope is not infallible either. The regrettable infallibility doctrine applies only in a very strictly limited set of cirucmstances regarding teaching authority. It basically means in matters of faith and teaching the Pope has the last word and is the supreme authority. Its only been very rarely invoked.

A Christian charity is sending a film about the Christmas story to every primary school in Britain after hearing of a young boy who asked his teacher why Mary and Joseph had named their baby after a swear word.

I'm curious -- what did you atheist morons thought the whole Protestant Reformation was all about, if not this? I thought it was common knowledge that Luther required fundamental authority to the bible, not the church structure.

Catholics are only superior to Protestants in one respect: creating extremely twisted and easy young women for former horndogs like myself to have a lot of fun with in college.

                          And that clinches it.

Intrestingly, I heard that Luther attacked Copernican ideas long before the RCC did.

This is another nail in the coffin for the slowly dying catholic church. The churches which are growing are those who teach that the Bible is true from cover to cover. For the catholic church to teach that parts of the bible are in error will see them continue to lose relevance and membership.
