BTW, I'm in Calgary right now for the weekend. It has two things going for it: It's close to the Rocky mountains and it's the head office town for the oil industry in Canada. So it's rich.
It's also the most Americanized city in Canada as a result. (Chock full of Texans and Oklahomans, etc.) This gives rise to it's two greatest faults. It's the base of the neo-con virus in Canada (eg. Asher) and it's prone to unabashed self-promotion (eg. Asher). Otherwise, it's a busy, fast growing city with lots of conspicuous consumption and urban sprawl.Comment
