    "Pigs are Friends, Not Food!

Pigs are amazing, sensitive, intelligent animals who are playful and affectionate— they even like to play video games. Did you know that pigs are as smart as dogs and 3-year-old children? Well, they are! So if you wouldn’t eat your dog, don’t eat pigs either.

During “national pork month,” celebrate the fabulousness of pigs by not eating them! Grab a copy of Charlotte’s Web or invite your best buds over to watch Babe. Get more info about going veg, and spread the word by sending this great postcard, featuring none other than Babe himself, to all of your friends."

    from Peta, of course.

Yeah, but bacon from 3 year old children just isn't as tasty.

So then why did she create so few Jews, and so many gentiles, who according to Judaism are allowed to eat pork? Ah, but she gave us Islam, to convince a third of the gentiles that they shouldnt eat pork, despite Torah not banning it for them

So the expansion of Islam is Gods why of keeping the pork to herself? And who says God doesnt have a sense of humo(u)r?

One of my best friends in college was what you'd call a jewish re-convert ... or something like that. Her grandmother was adopted by christians (mormons I think, in Utah anyway) but then her mother converted back to Judaism along with her around 10 years old or so.

She's reform or something close to that, and still eats cheeseburgers due to the fact that she really likes them ... but won't eat bacon cheeseburgers (even turkey bacon, oddly enough) because she feels like she should give something up she likes

I guessed that it was what you meant, though, I'm not sure that the scandinavic abuse of double negations is widespread amongst english speakers - even worse with those who neither speaks scandinavic languages or english as first.

                    Besides that I fully agree

' A linguistics professor was lecturing her class one day on double negatives. "In English," she said, "a double negative forms a positive. In some languages, though, such as Russian, a double negative is still a negative. However, there is no language wherein a double positive can form a negative."

A student in the back of the room piped up, "Yeah, right." '

Quite right - though LC's statement was supposed to give a negative, wich depending on context is possible, at least in danish - in others it gives a positive. And please don't ask for an example - I'm too drunk

I didn't use a double negative in the normal sense of the word, since the negations applied to different clauses.

On the issue: one of those small examples of stupidity that abound everywhere. I might care when its somewhere large or important doing it.

On pigs, they aren't nice, they are very smart, vicious critters.
At least going on from what I saw on the discovery channel, pigs are the only domesticated animals that will go feral again. You let out a pig into the wild and they will within a few months behave just like wild pigs, and will begin to regrow their long coats.

So essentially, pigs are the least domesticated of the domesticated animals we have. You just know they are planning a revolution.

Were the toy piggies sent specifically for the Ramadan festival? That could be seen as offensive.

                              Otherwise the whole thing's stupid.
