  • More Dhimmitude - Now toy pigs are banned

NOVELTY pig calendars and toys have been banned from a council office — in case they offend Muslim staff.

Workers in the benefits department at Dudley Council, West Midlands, were told to remove or cover up all pig-related items, including toys, porcelain figures, calendars and even a tissue box featuring Winnie the Pooh and Piglet.

Bosses acted after a Muslim complained about pig-shaped stress relievers delivered to the council in the run-up to the Islamic festival of Ramadan....

Councillor Mahbubur Rahman, a practising Muslim, backed the ban. He said: “It’s a tolerance of people’s beliefs.”

    Councillor Rahman is an idiot.

I appreciate that Jews and Muslims see swine as unclean animals, and as such, are not prepared to eat them, but they aren't trying to deny the existence of these animals!

BS. It actually is a sign of intolerance - pigs is a common part of society both as food and as a figurative - what would kermit be without miss piggy ?
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

We should not tolerate such intolerance to Whinne-the-pooh and his friend Piglet. Where will it end?

It will end when we all live in state sanctioned vanilla white cubes without adornment, wearing the sanctioned uniforms, worshipping the sanctioned god, after having learned the sanctioned history.

I think I have seen this movie before.
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias, they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed. But they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love. They had 500 years of democracy and peace. And what did that produce? The cuckoo clock."

This is just unreal. Muslims don't have a right not to be offended.
Why can't you be a non-conformist just like everybody else?

Your negations give me trouble. Do you mean that they have a right to be offended ? In current case, about something quite natural.

Seriously though, this is where political correctness is getting out of control. You know, we all have to see things we don't like every day but that is how it goes. How dare a group of people dictate what other people can do when it does not affect them...(a wee bit of offence does not count)
