in the US the porn industry I think is somewhat self regulating.. (or else the goverment regulates it)

there was some sort of action versus one company that had unsafe practices (like not enough screening/lack of protection use)...

All people make issues out of things others don't see as legitimate. That's the nature of politics. Whether it's all men should be strangled at birth, all women should be kept chained up at home, all churches should be considered the same thing as any other business, all technology should be destroyed, etc etc etc.

Pick any issue. If your community is large enough, someone will think at least half of that issue is just stupid and doesn't even deserve mention. Even if it's just putting in a crosswalk at a particular corner of your local neighborhood, or a global issue being debated between all the nations of the world.

Considering that this thread is about religious nuts and their obsession with the non-issue of adult pornography, I don't think my quote needed to be fix.

You are the one making this about people's religious beliefs. The Original Post and Original Topic don't.

All people are wacked, Mr. Fun. But just seeing your posts for the past couple of day, it seems you love to grind your axe on any topic that can even shallowly hint at morals or religion. Maybe you are just having fun digging on the idiocy of the world, maybe you are just letting off steam in a fun and safe manner, but it does communicate the message that you find all religious beliefs to be crap, and all that believe in any matter spiritual to be nuts. (It's a reasonable ascertation in this day and modern western culture, but is it what you are trying to truly communicate?)

On the actual topic... there's plenty of people that don't like nudity or sex or pornography, and are very non-religious or even anti-religious. We don't need to break out the Pat Robert subscribers or Jesse Jackson supporters to discuss how odd we might find such hang-ups.

I'm not a US citizen, nor a resident.

But if you think the American political establishment would outlaw the car industry because of some companies abuse workers, minority or not, you're in urgent need of a reality check.

I don't lump my loving mother, who is a faithful Catholic with the words "religious nuts" so again, you're mistakened that I refer to all religious people in that way.

Concidering that there are a lot of women forced to be a part of the porn scene against their will, I think this is a good idea.

We have laws against kidnapping, abduction, and extortion.

Not to mention the young girls (18+) who roll into the porn scene because they think it's easy money, but get mentally deformed for the rest of their life.

Thats true for all sorts of stuff, we all have to make decisions about the path we take and it aint always a happy ending. But I think you mis-interpret motives, many young women go into the sex industry because they were already "mentally deformed". But aren't we
all I really see no difference between the "deformed" young woman going into porn and the "deformed" young woman entering the convent.

If you know that a lot the girls in the porn scene are girls who've been abbused in their childhood, it shows how wrong it all is.

Wait a minute, whats wrong? The abuse or sex in front of others? You're trying to draw a line from the abuse to the porn to taint the latter. If a woman was abused as a child and she grew up to be a nun, would that taint religion?

But in the end, since most men love porn (can't deny that I'm attrackted to it myself as well, eventhough I wish I wouldn't be) in the end nothing will change.
