Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

I don't suppose there are as many uncivilised brutes in texas as there were looting in NOrleans?

I made a mistake on Camille. Looked at a lot of information and confused myself.
At least I have the balls to admit it.

And idjits, if there are any, which I'm sure there could be, have no option.
Rick Perry, as I said, is not making it a choice.

It's taking approximately 22 hours to get from Houston to Huntsville. A little longer than the norm.
(Total Est. Time: 1 hour, 9 minutes
              Total Est. Distance: 70.52 miles)

We have uncle, aunt, cousins on the way.
It's being reported that lodging is booked solid all the way to Tulsa, Oklahoma. (If it's being reported incorrectly, and someone's Uncle Lester has a garage apartment available, cut me some slack, ok?)

Texas coast braces for the worst

              NOAA

Hurricane Rita grew into a monster storm with 175-mph sustained winds as it swirled toward the Gulf Coast, prompting more than 1.3 million residents in Texas and Louisiana to flee in hopes of avoiding a deadly repeat of Katrina.

If Rita is bigger than katrina will there be some Texans who take a sort of perverse pride in that?
Space is big. You just won't believe how vastly, hugely, mind- bogglingly big it is. I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.

                    Rita is bigger than Katrina.
The possibility is very real that it will become biggest in USA history.

Yes. Yes, there will. You know how much we like to say "Everything's bigger in Texas!", right?

/me just hopes her cousins were smart and got out of Houston early....
But there's no sense crying over every mistake. You just keep on trying till you run out of cake.

Oh, well. Try it this way.

Nothing seems to be working for me first try lately.

But up an esturary from Gavelston Bay is the port of Houston, the largest concetraion of refinaries in the USA. A short distances either way of the coast from Gaveston are other major oil terminals/refinaries/Chemical plants: Texas City on the bay just behind Galveston; Freeport and Brazosport to the south; Baytown on the Bay; Port Arthur on Sabine 'Lake'.
