This is what's wrong with America. Don't take me wrong, it's not all wrong, but this is ONE thing that's weird.

President says, finally, that he takes responsibility. Everyone is like yeaaah that's right wohoo glad he does this yeah here's 5 stars and 10 points.

It's as if you expect the worst all the time, and then reward someone for doign the trivial thing? Is this how low your expectations are? And if so, maybe it's a sign that sometihng IS wrong and something should be done to make it right?

With requirements like this, I can be the president of the century. Well not really, but you guys get my point.

kudos to Bush for finally taking responsibility... it took long enough...

but as Az said, if there aren't consequences, or any kind of accountability, it is pretty meaningless.

btw, can the right wingers now STFU with the "OMFG YOU ARE BLAMING BUSH" now? because now Bush has blamed bush,

      kthx

No he didn't. He said he takes full responsibility (for the failures of the Federal government). He's saying that other people's screwups are his responsibility as boss. Rightly so. As President, he is responsible. Kudos for him, it's the first time he taken responsibility for anything that's gone wrong under his watch. I'm glad he said it.

I don't see anything in that article about Bush talking about the mistakes he made, though. That would be admitting he was wrong.

So, again, Bush gets credit for stepping up and taking responsiblity as boss , but don't give him credit for what he didn't do.

I think Az was laughing at symbolism of Bush's meaningless acceptance of responsibility... not killing someone in a drunk driving accident.
