  • WOW!! Steve Smith seemingly caught an amazing TD catch to tie the game, but Carolina gets called for holding!

    • TEs are going to be used a lot more this year, even more than last. That's why I didn't draft one until the latter rounds this year.

      • Pittsburgh just scored again... Parker is over 100 yards already.

        • Patrick Ramsey got PWNED by Lance Briggs. Clotheslined... but apparantly a legal hit.

Vasher (Bears CB) with 1 INT, had another, but was called back for pass interference (and very questionable call at that).

WAS leads the Bears at halftime 6-0 (a real barn-burner!!)

Orton is not doing that bad considering the helmet radio malfunctions 6-14 63 yards. 4-7 since starting 2-7. And I don't know why you are laughing Kid, I don't recall anyone claiming Orton is going to be Payton Manning. He just needs to be serviceable and run the offense.

BTW, Brunell is 2-7 since taking over for Ramsey.

Portis is not doing good. 35 yards in 12 attempts.

So far, Orton has not been the Bears problem. They can't get anything going on the run game. Jones has rushed only 22 yards on 9 attempts.

Lovie Smith says Cedric Benson will get some carries in the second half. We'll see if that amounts to anything. The D needs to keep the Bears in the game and the offense needs to get lucky if the Bears hope to win this game.
To us, it is the BEAST.

          • Hehe... Benson. I wonder if his holdout will affect him as bad as it did Ronnie Brown (8 rushes for 9 yards).

one of the Bears beat-writers said Benson would get a 3 yard gain on his first rush and then start another hold out

                              • From the stats is seems that Brunell, who started 2 for 7, has now gone 5 for 6. Portis just rolled off a good run.

Carolina scores... Davis scores. Close game in North Carolina today.
