The model I saw has Global Warming leading to an increase in the size of the polar ice caps. If that happens then there will be less water in the atmosphere and more in the form ice. Meaning, more deserts, some of which will be in different places, and some deserts may actually become temperate.

It's not really "global warming" if it lead to an ice age, is it? It'd be nice if "climate change" would catch on as the preferred terminology.

Because climate change will destroy all the ecological enviroments that rely on the climate they've adapted to! when a desert gets wet all the desert life dies! When a plain gets hot and dry all the plains life dies! When a temperate forest gets tropical the trees all rot!

If you define deserts as "dead land" then there will be plenty more desert! Atleast if climate change progresses faster than ecologys can adapt.

                  And:
Rising Sea Levels = LESS LAND, PERIOD. Humans aint too good adapted to living under the sea. The coastal land tends to be most valuable. The newly created sea will be a cesspool tainted by old human development.

And it's true that if climate change is catastrophic, humanity will be able to help ecologies adapt, but this is likely to be a low short-run profit venture. We either have to pull our heads out of our collective asses or hope climate change will be gradual.

There may be a few boons for farmers, especially in drier areas that get wetter, especially in areas unable to afford irrigation systems.

e.g. A warmer world is a wetter world. More people die of drought-induced famine than flooding. Therefore surely some currently parched areas ought to benefit.

Global warming is expected to destroy the Gulf Stream within the next 100 years, causing Great Britain and eastern Canada to literally become Syberia
I will never understand why some people on Apolyton find you so clever. You're predictable, mundane, and a google-whore and the most observant of us all know this. Your battles of "wits" rely on obscurity and whenever you fail to find something sufficiently obscure, like this, you just act like a 5 year old. Congratulations, molly.
