          • we have songs about macedonia going back serious timespans btw not just 10 years like the skpjians but it's nice to write another song for our macedonia even in bulgarian. but where's the national anthem of UN recognized fyrom? i hope they include the 50% of their albanian population in it too. otherwise, well it just wont do.

                  • we in the Washington area are privileged to have two great musical artists of the Judeo-Spanish tradition, Flory Jagoda and Ramon Tasat. Though neither is Salonican by origin. Ms. Jagoda was born in Bosnia, and Cantor Tasat was born in Buenos Aires to a family which originated in the Ladino speaking Jewish community of Allepo, Syria.

                        It's not 50%. I haven't seen recent figures but in 2001 the (disputed) figure was I think more between 20%-25%.
