Sean Hannity may be a douchebag, but he still has a solid twenty years of douchebaggery before he can come close to topping Geraldo Rivera.Visit The Frontier for all your geopolitical, historical, sci-fi, and fantasy forum gaming needs.

I agree that CNN is borring to watch. I dont know why, but I just think it has to do with the reporters. They might just be borring themselfs. The news channels I watch are MSNBC and FOX. I know how you guys hate FOX, but I like to watch different channels, anything but CNN. I also sometimes watch network news too.

The reporters themselves are pissed but look at the ticker at the bottom talking about what "Bush is doing." Geraldo is doing his usual crap, he looks like a dork but that's Geraldo for you.

This clip is priceless:
It's amazing how these tv crews can get in but our own government cannot.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
On the same night Geraldo has way over the top. He took someone's baby that was near him, held the baby up to the camera and started to cry saying that the people of the convention center needed help. I almost could not believe that Geraldo could go that far.

Reporters, et al., becoming emotionally invested in the stories they're covering is generally frowned upon. With the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, it's understandable why some would simply not be able to remain professional about it ... after all, they're human, too.
But (and isn't there always a but?) when the reporter has a known history of acting oddly in a number of circumstances, as Geraldo has done, it really makes me question whether he's being genuine or simply going into histronics for the benefit of the camera (and the humiliation of "real" reporters).
In some ways, Geraldo is a throwback to the days of Yellow Journalism, when standards weren't as high, everyone got involved in taking sides, damn objectivity, and even had a hand in starting a war (the 1898 Spanish-American one, if my journalism history memories are correct). Those days may be making a comeback and I, for one, *don't* welcome them.

Well, if it's dull and only informative, it means it's real news.
