We can see the 'edited by' mark on the corner of your post, Ozzy .

      I suck at DanSing.

Anyways, I'd like to see Stevens and Ginsburg resign too, so we can see the biggest cluster**** the Senate has ever seen.

Knowing that you have libertarian leanings, would you really like to see Bush have that many oppertunities?!

Seven's the most powerful magical number. Bushdimort has hidden a horcrux in all the remaining Justices.
Christianity: The belief that a cosmic Jewish Zombie who was his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because a rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree...

Well no matter who is in office and who is in the Senate they are gonna appoint someone I disagree with, so I don't care all that much I guess.

I'd love to see Roe v Wade overturned though, or seriously limited. More state's rights stuff could be good. Less eminent domain stuff would be good - though that ship has sailed. And even the conservative justices voted in favor of gay rights when they overturned that sodomy law a bit ago. So unless he goes for some more Scalias, it shouldn't be too bad. Hell if he even went with a non-hypocritical Scalia I'd be somewhat ok.

But yea. No matter who it is is gonna suck.

The anti-sodomy law was overturned by the 4 leftie judges and 2 moderate-right (O'Conner and Kennedy). We don't know if Roberts will be like an O'Conner or a Rehnquist on gay rights (I suspect the later), so you'd be dooming them.

Well ok, then here's to hoping Bush appoints a whole bunch of really old justices that overturn Roe v. Wade and then all die 3 years from now.

And approve all the stripping of liberties the Bush Administration has done through the PATRIOT Act?

Very funny. Some people have an exagerated sense of the importance of the US Supreme Court to the rest of the world. It's certainly worth a thread, but a topped one? Give me a break.
