The university's rugby group have been known to attack gay students. Including female ones.ah that must be why the rugby clubs used to(still do?) make it a feature of their night on the town - student bashing. Not that i ever took part, i was too anglisized by that time.

It's a sad state of affairs but attacks on gay people in Swansea are weekly (especially down at the marina) - several members of the society have been attacked (my ex 3 times). The BNP are unfortunately active here and were present at the march against racism.Originally posted by reds4ever

We're proud to be strong enough to be open about our sexualities in such a hostile area, but there were serious incidents when Time hosted a 'gay night' a couple of years ago and - at least for this year - we couldn't risk straight locals knowing.
