Yup, I'll change it - and it was always meant to look confused, not angsty!

I'm surprised you can be gay in swansea and a student must be hard!
It's got better over the time I've been here - the city now has 5 gay bars and 2 clubs.

If only I could afford to go...

ah that must be why the rugby clubs used to(still do?) make it a feature of their night on the town - student bashing. Not that i ever took part, i was too anglisized by that time.
The university's rugby group have been known to attack gay students. Including female ones.

From Kent IIRC, so gay and English - I'm surprised he's survived this long in Swansea...
        Soooo close. Sussex, next door

i think student bashing is pretty rare these days, i guess the locals have come to realise that without the students swansea would be a much less interesting place. the welsh girls were certainly very accommodating, although i doubt redjon saw too much of that
Nope, but there's a helluva lot of ugly, ugly guys

Never mind eh, you'll discover the wonders of Civ II one day.
I used to play civ2 a lot. There's not many new mods out for it anymore

And I've left the dark ravages of Eastbourne behind forever. I'm now a permanent Swansea resident.

Oh, and a pagan - mainly Hellenistic, though I'm very much still finding my feet.

I didn't have a phoneline in my room

I'm surprised how many of the same people are still around

It was deliberately kept low-key - the first Pride event is symbolic and there would have been a lot of trouble caused.

It wasn't put in the waterfront as articles from there have a habit of making it into the Evening Post...

It was a week of events then the main event was in Time (which I couldn't make as I'd just left for Morroco, lol).

"kept low key" as in a "not very proud to be gay" Gay Pride?

It's a sad state of affairs but attacks on gay people in Swansea are weekly (especially down at the marina) - several members of the society have been attacked (my ex 3 times). The BNP are unfortunately active here and were present at the march against racism.

We're proud to be strong enough to be open about our sexualities in such a hostile area, but there were serious incidents when Time hosted a 'gay night' a couple of years ago and - at least for this year - we couldn't risk straight locals knowing.
