I never actually use my gmail account (got one early), my Yahoo acount now also gives me a gig, and the two hotmail accounts i have add an extra half gig. All in all I have 2.5 gigs of web e-mail storage, and about 100 meg tops of old e-mails in them....what a waste.

Man, do you really think they've that Gig's reserved for you?
        Nope.
They use a smart system which tells you that you could put more in your box just because someone else haven't.

If all users suddenly started pumping in files, it would stop somewhere at the 20-30% of it's supposed capacity and then probably crush because of server overload.

I just hope they change the GUI.

BTW: anybody has an extra Gmail invite?

Those who don't move to Google's universe are idiots or ignorant fools.

Is Yahoo really that good? No, its a pile of ****
                      MSN is hardly any better.
AIM? I'm not even going to bother.
ICQ was the only good one in its day, when AOL bought it, it totaly screwed up.

Everyone should stop using other people's crappy services and just use Google, support Google in every way, they will treat you right.

Verto, that is stupid and ignorant.

Verto, it is pure and simple, Google's services and apps are something that has not hit the Internet so well before. They offer things that are useful, don't bug you, they work, they don't let you down, you can't say its worthless over another service, you can't say that Google has ever really let you down.; But I can say that about Yahoo, MSN, ICQ, other email services.

Oh no, this is becoming like the Mac Vs PC thing. The ignorant try-hards won't let their distorted visions go.

No, it isn't. Whatever else may be true, Verto's statement is on the money.

What benefit does GoogleTalk give me that other clients don't? All I've heard is how it is sooo minimalistic *que googleorgasm. How does it distinguish itself from the others?
