I have read that moths developed a strategy where they used the moon to navigate. By keeping it on one particular side of their body, they were able to use it as a reference. Of course artificial lights messes this up. When they keep such lights on one side, they can't help but zero in.

I see the highly adaptable human as just as stupid really. The fact that we cannot escape our selfish 'jungle survival' mindset, and we are slowly destroying our habitat - that is a even more stupid strategy than that of a virus.

Course I could have done with out it but it was funny all the same

Oh and that policy of fly towards the light no matter what...not really the best one is it? I have also had one fly straight into the hob with rather unpleasant results for the aforementioned moth.

Perhaps they need to rethink their life strategy?
I take it that you Brits still haven't developed the concept of window screens?
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Mothra is a great film. Godzilla vs. Mothra is pretty great, too.

The other day I made some reference to the tiny twin women who's singing can summon Mothra, and nobody knew what the hell I was talking about. Kids today...

Moths are attracted to my computer screen. Then they fly over to my window and die.

Oh my, I see the treehuggers have come out defining our existence as less than that of the moth

I would say mothhuggers, but that sounds kind of messy
