Overwhelmingly classical, which can be subcategorized:

        1. Symphonic (Ranging from Mozart to Shostakovich)
        2. Opera (mostly post-1850, except for the Mozarts and Rossinis)
        3. Chamber music (esp. Bach, Brahms, Beethoven and Schubert)
        4. Choral music (like the various Requiems, other sacred music, and tons of Bach)
        5. Lieder (esp. Schubert and Brahms)

I'm not really into ballet music, excepting Stravinsky and Prokofiev.

Outside of classical, I listen to some movie soundtracks, classic rock, and am fairly partial to the Beatles, Pink Floyd and more recent alternative music. Oh, and Nick Drake is awesome stuff.

everyone else makes jokes about the catholics, why can't I?

Plus I am catholic, so it's okay. I'm not really catholic, but I was baptised a catholic. You could say I used to be catholic.

See Heresson, you have just qualified my comment about Poland being the Kansas of the EU...

Because I don't like biggest denomination in the world being depicted as a bunch of child abusers? Kansas must be a great place. And with your "lol" to this poor joke, You didn't earn much of my respect either.

That others are doing wrong, it doesn't mean You have to do it as well. And it's mostly about the style of this joke, or lack of it. It's not even funny. A joke You'd expect from a rude 13-year old with bad grades and not from You. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Oh poppycock, the Catholic church is notorious for being soft on kiddyfiddlers and even protecting them. You'll get no sympathy for your whining from me Heresson...

                      what do you mean "catholic"?
Basically, its the same thing as Christian rock. The recipe is quite easy. You take a classic song and you replace, for example, a 'you' by a 'thou'. Take, for instance, "I touch myself" by Blondie.

                      I don't want anybody else
When I think about you I touch myself
Ooh I don't want anybody else Oh no, oh no, oh no
                      It becomes:

                      I don't want anybody else
When I think about Thou I touch myself
Ooh I don't want anybody else Oh no, oh no, oh no

                        I listen to...

                        - Classical (mostly 20th century stuff)

                        - Jazz (post bop, mostly)

                        - A bit of actual/contemporary music (the more listenable stuff)

                        - Classic rock

                        - Alternative rock

                        - Electronic music: house, progressive house, techno, intelligent dance music (Boards of Canada, Autechre, some Aphex Twin), ambiant, breaks.

-Chillout. Not necessarily electronic, IMO. Take Mile Davis' In a Silent Way, for example.

                          My kind of music:
                          Classical
                          International traditional
                          Electronic / chillout
                          French and American rock
                          Disco

I also enjoy themes from movies and games.
