They have a pretty decent frequency range IIRC. I don't use them because I can't stand earbuds in general ... but the sound on them is a good bit better than on my Sony fairly-generic headphones.

Well, they sound incredibly thin compared to my Sennheisers. Of course, the Sennheisers are not free (about 80$ cdn), but they're totally worth it
