      I think its actually that there are more dark Mainstream movies.

      There were quite a few last year.

        Silly Macedonian, Movies are meant by nature to be played in a darkened theatre. Guess those outdoor ampitheatre shows don't quite hack it now that you have the marvels of indoor theatre.

                    Movies getting darker. I do not think so. It is just the movie industry posturing to make the big bucks. Right now dark movies are not making big waves in the cineplexes in the US right now.

                        dark movies are better than fluffy hollywood movies.

                        Though I should note, all the above movies are fluffy. Not nearly as dark as I would like them. Actually I haven't seen sin city, so I can't comment on that one.

                            They could do a miniseries... each chapter being an episode would probably work out.
