Never done that really, Verto... must have been really desperate, not having water around .

I always eat it as a soup myself. Mmmm, broth made of flavor packet water...

When I was in Korea the local restaurants served the chicken version with a slice of cheese melting across the top. You then stirred the cheese in, which reinforced the broth. To this day I still eat it that way, and my kids have started doing this with their ramen as well.

Ramen traditions, passed on through the generations.

Cold ramen is the bomb as well, particularly in the summertime. Had reimen yesterday and it was excellent, but I still prefer hiyashi chuka.

                It's better raw, I agree.

I practically lived off of the first three flavors back in 1984 when I was in Saudi Arabia for three months.
"And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you—ask what you can do for your country. My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man." -- JFK Inaugural, 1961
"Extremism in the defense of liberty is not a vice." -- Barry Goldwater, 1964 GOP Nomination acceptance speech (not George W. Bush 40 years later...)

It's not raw. The noodles are already cooked. All the boiling does is rehydrate them. Think I'll go have some.

Dried noodles are pretty ****ing sweet. Lifesaving devices - I like most flavours.

I've eaten it unboiled.... well, I must say.... it builds character.

I've also eaten some boiled ramen of the floor in HS.

                          Ahh, happy days.

The difference appears to lie solely with the soup and other seasoning packets.
