How exactly did Ontario dollars bootstrap Alberta into existence?

I don't know. Some organization a couple years ago certified northwest AR as the fastest growing one at least in the US.

It's kind of in the same situation as Alberta, I guess. Not long ago, it was nothing, but now, everyone wants to get in on it, and it is expanding like crazy...

Except for that one day, oil will dry up in Alberta, but Wal Mart will never die.

          Hehe.

Yes, the oil will run out, sometime a long time after it does in Saudi Arabia, and we have more of it.

I honestly can't say I know what they teach outside of Quebec, but even in an English history class, we learned many lessons on why Quebec has a Seperatist streak too it, and why it wants to be viewed as "special" by the Feds.

Quebec does have reasons to want to be considered different. We aren't just another bunch of Canadians, and never have been.

And Albertans say none of us are just another bunch of Canucks. All the regions are different, and we all need protection from an overly powerful central government.

Unless of course, you happen to be from the region that regularly elects that government.

... and even then, Ontario is showing signs of chaffing under the federal yoke.

I don't think that should be plural.

I thought Ontario's auto industry existed was because it was right next door to Detroit and the big three. Its a logistics thing with everything involving car making in concentrated spot.
If Detroit was on Albertas border than probably it would have a big car industry.

I think its rather silly to compare Alberta and Ontario. They both have their negatives and positives. Personally I don't understand why one would hate a province. I just don't understand that mindset.

No Problem. Thank you for that. It was very informative. If your info is accurate than I think Alberta has every right to be angry over that goverment bungling. It sounds though that Alberta is finally getting what it deserves and is flourishing. That's great.

I'm VERY AWARE of the Quebec culture. I realize its different and special. I like your culture, I like the cities and architecture. Great Jazz festival in Montreal. I also like your women. But I also realize Albertans are different and special. Ontario the same, BC the same, Maritimes the same and so on. But the thing is you are a Quebecer. I get that. I don't want to change that. But your also a CANADIAN. What the hell is wrong with being a CANADIAN. I just really don't understand what more you want from me. We even went as far as introduce French into our schools and society for one province. Some had trouble with that, but I dont. The more languages ones learns I think the better. The Europeans don't seem to have trouble learning all these languages. It amazes me how they do that.

But anyway I just don't understand why you want to seperate.
Sometimes it seems just a ploy to hold the country at ransom to get what Quebec wants. Sometimes Quebec seems so self centred and only thinks about itself. It seems insulting to the rest of us. Like we are not good enough or something.

ps.. you Albertans would be so proud. We had a full blown rodeo just down the road from me. No it wasn't a couple of Ontarion's riding a pair of donkeys. We even had some woman rodeo star from Alberta putting on show.
