When will this be over so we can stop pretending we care about bicycle racing?

You can stop pretending right now if you wish. You have my permission.

So, has anybody in this thread used the phrase "Tour de Lance" yet?

I think they´re thinking of renaming it if Lance wins this year too

And who, pray tell, isn't drugged up in the tour? These people are making performances that the human body can't do without substances. Doesn't make their achievement any less great. Even with all the dope in the world, an ordinary man couldn't achieve what these guys are doing

Yes it does. The use of drugs in sports competition is cheating.

I'll never watch professional cycling again, and I mean it. They've been cheating me and everyone who loved the sport for years. Well they're not cheating me anymore. I started figuring things out shortly after Bjarne Riis won in 1996, and my suspicions have been confirmed time and time again - and the riders just keep on competing, even after being caught. Either that, or they die in their sleep at age 25.

                    Humbug, the lot of it.

F1 has politics instead of drugs.

Was just letting you know how much of a chance I think he has got to win the damn thing ( who is one your favourites I gather? )

You should watch American track & field instead.
