    I think we should start referring to our countries as IR, PO, PL, SL, HL, NL etc etc etc from now on, instead of using the full names as we usually do. It is a proper response to that nasty and utterly confusing habbit of our cousins across the pond for the referring to their states in such manner.

                Nonsense. The American habit of referring to states by two-letter abbreviations is not nasty or confusing in any way, once you get the hang of it.
