Also nitpicking, but Borat isn't Afghan, he's Kazakhstani.

i think sasha baron-cohen (hows that for nitpicking reds ) is a legend, ali g can get a bit old after a while but borat and bruno are genius at times.

and if your friend loses her job, then to quote the movie 'ali g in da house': unlucky

Like she's going to lose a job. Mind you knowing employment law in certain cultural backwaters, you never can tell!

She did "check the facts." Ali/Cohen provided fake credentials and cooked them pretty well, including setting up the interview through a dummy company. She also didn't volunteer to put "Borat" on the news to begin with...he was having a private interview with some talent for an alleged documentary. The arsewipe then broke loose and ran around the frigging studio, including dashing out in mid-broadcast, as mentioned. And he was escorted by an intern to keep him out of trouble the whole time, he just broke out despite their best efforts. And she'd had no experience with that show, had no idea who the guy was; I think the whole thing keeps working largely because people important enough to be harassed on the show aren't bored enough to bother to watch it. All things considered, she was plenty cautious, and Cohen didn't start acting like a moron until the cameras were rolling.
