I'll be arrogant and nominate myself.

    Why?

It's about friggin' time we had someone who at least knows a little about technology ruling on some of those issues.

        Another vote for Imran

        (a) Having just graduated from law school [you did pass, didn't you Imran ], he knows the laws better than anyone else here.

        (b) After he's confirmed by the Senate, we can spend lots of time complaining about the dumb-arse decisions that are now coming out of the Supreme Court.

I vote Ned- he'll be company for Rehnquist and Scalia.

Failing that, CharlesBHoff, who will also be company for Rehnquist and Scalia.

                  Now there's a scary thought.

I can never pass the bar. Not without ordering a drink, anyway

Thanks Ted - I'll go with MtG - he is knowledgable, backs up his opinions with both cites and LOTS of verbiage (almost as bad as I am), writes well, and just may be as good as he thinks he is (Scalia look out).

Siro, super rulings .. nah.. I don't think I'd make a good one. I don't like judging people, affect their lives like that. Nah.. I'd only have bubble gum to chew and life sentences to give.. and I'd be all out of bubble gum..

OK.. who it is who it is I think we have many good options to choose from.. I like so many people in here, their abilities to function in this position at hand so I can't give any definitive answer... it would be favouritism, I think most of you could be cool in it..

if I have to say only one name, forced like that, I also say MtG, because he is knowledgable but ALSO he has sense of common sense, meaning you get what you deserve type of touch. I think that would be good for a judge.
                                In da butt.
